Commonly found: Near trash and debris, in small crevaces

Diet: They are scavengers, and also eat decaying plants and other insects

 

General characteristics and facts:

  • Earwigs are nocturnal.
  • Earwigs do not crawl into people’s brains through the holes in their ears, this is a myth.
  • They have antennae, but no wings.
  •  They do not transmit diseases.
